CLT Holiday Home - Ghiurcuța

A holiday home located in the Apuseni Mountains, built using a CLT panel structure and glued laminated timber beams. The building features a high-performance thermal envelope, designed for the specific climatic conditions of the mountainous region, characterized by long winters and low temperatures. The timber shingle-clad façade, together with exposed concrete elements, contributes to a coherent architectural expression adapted to the surrounding natural context. The materials emphasize the contemporary character of the building and its relationship with the mountain landscape.

The terrace, supported by circular larch columns, and the living area with large openings create a direct connection between interior and exterior, offering living spaces a continuous relationship with the surroundings. The building’s energy performance is based on a robust thermal package and a highly airtight envelope, characteristic of the Passive House standard. These construction solutions contribute to reduced energy consumption and a consistently high level of comfort throughout the year.
